Friends of the Botanic Gardens Museum Formed in 1988 the aim of the Friends is to raise funds to purchase those items essential to the proper protection and display of our local heritage. The Friends organise talks on topics of interest to all those with an interest in local heritage, as well as trips to other museums and attractions. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Coffee Lounge of the Marshside Road Methodist Church, Churchtown at 8.00pm. The Force amalgamated with the Lancashire Constabulary on the 1st April that year. |
